Tanjore Holdings LLC, operator of span9 ("Tanjore," "span9," "we," "us," or "our"), explains here how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect personal information through the span9 website, waitlist, referral features, email communications, educational and research content, product and application updates, and related website services. The span9 website and current span9 service are for users in the United States.
This notice covers personal information collected through the website. The website is expected to keep operating after the span9 application launches, including as a place for educational or research articles, product and application updates, the waitlist and referrals, and other general information.
| Information | Which notice covers it |
|---|---|
| Personal information collected through the span9 website, waitlist, referral features, and related website services | span9 Website Privacy Notice (this notice) |
| Personal information other than consumer health data that is processed inside the span9 application, such as account, sign-in, billing-identifier, device, security-log, and non-health support information | span9 App Privacy Notice |
| Consumer health data collected through the application, health-data upload features, or connected wearables | span9 Consumer Health Data Privacy Notice |
If personal information collected through the website is later used in a way that makes it consumer health data under the law, the Consumer Health Data Privacy Notice applies to that consumer health data.
1. Information we collect through the website
Waitlist information
When you join the waitlist, we may collect your email address; the date and time of sign-up; records showing you agreed to receive product updates or launch communications; unsubscribe and preference information; any referral code or identifier linked to your sign-up; and technical records reasonably needed to validate, secure, and administer the sign-up.
The website and waitlist are not meant to collect lab records, biomarkers, wearable data, medical records, or other consumer health data. Joining the waitlist does not mean we treat you as having a medical condition, health status, or health characteristic. If non-health information is later used to infer or associate you with a health condition or status, we will treat the result as consumer health data where the law requires. Please do not submit health information through the waitlist or ordinary website contact channels.
Referral information
The website may recognize a referral code passed through a link or another code-based mechanism and link it to a waitlist or account record. We may use it to identify the referral source, keep referral records, support the span9 affiliate or promoter program, decide whether a later account or paid subscription is tied to a valid referral, and prevent duplicate, fraudulent, manipulated, or self-referral activity.
We do not send health information to any affiliate or affiliate network. Reports to affiliates and promoters are limited to what is reasonably needed to administer referrals or commissions, such as aggregate or non-identifying conversion counts, conversion status, and commission status. We do not give promoters your email or other directly identifying information in routine referral reporting.
Affiliates and promoters must disclose their material connection with span9 when they promote it. The referral model is code-based and is not built on third-party affiliate tracking cookies, affiliate pixels, or click-attribution windows.
Founding Member eligibility information
We may use waitlist records to decide eligibility for Founding Member or early-adopter status. Under the current design, eligibility may depend on whether you (1) joined the pre-launch waitlist before the official application launch date and (2) created your account within the applicable post-launch eligibility period. We may compare a later span9 app account with the waitlist record to check this. The span9 Terms of Use set the actual conditions and benefits of founding member status.
Communications information
If you contact us, ask for information, or interact with an email we send, we may process your email address, what you wrote, your communication preferences, delivery, bounce, unsubscribe, or similar status, and anything else you choose to provide.
Technical and usage information
When you visit the website, we or our service providers may process technical information needed to operate, protect, and understand it. Depending on configuration, this may include IP address; browser and device information; operating system; referring and destination pages; page views and interactions; timestamps; security or network events; approximate location from IP address; and other technical information from ordinary website use. We do not intend to use website analytics tools to collect lab results, biomarker values, wearable information, uploaded health documents, or other consumer health data.
2. How we collect personal information
- From you directly, when you join the waitlist, contact us, submit a request, or otherwise use the website.
- From your browser or device, through ordinary website requests, security technologies, and any analytics configured for the website.
- From referral information, when a referral code or identifier comes with your visit or sign-up.
- From service providers that return information generated while providing hosting, database, communications, analytics, security, or related services for us.
We do not buy consumer profiles from data brokers for the current website and waitlist program.
3. How we use personal information
- Operate, maintain, and secure the website; administer the waitlist.
- Publish and deliver educational, research, product-development, and application-update content.
- Record and manage communication preferences; send product updates, launch announcements, early-access information, and other communications you agreed to; process unsubscribes.
- Keep referral records and support code-based referral attribution; decide Founding Member or other early-adopter eligibility.
- Connect a later span9 account to a waitlist or referral record where appropriate.
- Prevent fraud, abuse, duplicate sign-ups, or misuse; troubleshoot and improve website performance; understand overall website usage.
- Answer inquiries and privacy requests; keep records reasonably needed for legal and compliance purposes; follow the law.
We do not treat marketing or waitlist consent as consent to collect consumer health data.
4. Waitlist communications and unsubscribing
Sign-up requires you to make an affirmative choice to receive product updates and launch news. We may send confirmation or welcome messages, launch announcements, product availability and early-access information, educational or research updates consistent with your permission, application and product-development updates, and administrative messages about the waitlist or your preferences.
You can unsubscribe from non-transactional marketing communications at any time through the unsubscribe link in the message or the website's unsubscribe function. Unsubscribing does not automatically delete records we must or may keep for legal or compliance reasons, delete a later app account, cancel a paid subscription, delete consumer health data, disconnect a wearable, or use your rights under the Consumer Health Data Privacy Notice. Marketing preferences, subscription controls, app account controls, and consumer-health-data rights are separate.
5. Website analytics and similar technologies
- We may use third-party analytics tools to understand website performance, usage patterns, and interactions. Depending on setup, it may process browser, device, event, page, or similar technical information and may use browser or device storage.
- We do not allow analytics providers to use span9 data for unrelated cross-context behavioral advertising.
- We do not intend to send consumer health data from the span9 application to ordinary website analytics tools.
- Where the law requires consent, an opt-out, or another control for a given analytics or storage setup, we will put it in place before using that setup.
- The referral model is code-based and is not built on third-party affiliate tracking cookies, affiliate pixels, or click-attribution windows.
6. Service providers
We use service providers for specific operational functions. The providers actually turned on may change as the website and related services change.
| Provider | Function | Information generally involved |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase | Waitlist database, referral records, consent or preference records, related data infrastructure | Email address, waitlist data, referral data, consent and preference records |
| Resend | Waitlist, launch, transactional, and other permitted email | Email address, message content, delivery and message-status information |
| Cloudflare | DNS, network delivery, security, traffic protection | IP address, request and network information, security events and technical logs |
| Emergent | Website front-end and back-end hosting and related infrastructure | Website operational data, waitlist or referral data as configured, technical information |
| PostHog | Website analytics | Page, event, browser, device, and other usage information as configured |
Service providers acting for us are expected to process personal information only for authorized functions and under contract and legal limits suited to the information they receive. If a provider's role changes so it receives consumer health data, that data flow will be reviewed under the Consumer Health Data Privacy Notice and the applicable health-data processor framework before it is turned on.
7. How we disclose personal information
- Service providers, when reasonably needed to host, store, email, analyze, secure, or otherwise operate the website and related services.
- At your direction, when you ask or direct us to disclose information to a person or service.
- Affiliates and promoters: they may receive aggregate or non-identifying information reasonably needed to administer their referral activity or commissions, such as conversion counts, qualifying-conversion status, or commission status. They are not allowed to receive your email or other directly identifying information through ordinary referral reporting. We do not send affiliates or affiliate networks lab results, biomarker information, wearable data, uploaded health documents, or other consumer health data. Affiliates and promoters must disclose their material connection with span9 when they endorse or promote it.
- Legal and safety matters, when applicable law, legal process, or a lawful government request requires it, or where the law otherwise allows it to protect rights, security, or safety.
- Business transactions: information may be transferred in a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, bankruptcy, asset sale, or similar transaction, subject to the law.
A successor or recipient remains subject to this notice for the information it covers until the privacy practices are lawfully changed. Consumer health data involved in a transaction remains subject to the Consumer Health Data Privacy Notice, applicable law, and any required notice, consent, or authorization. A business transaction does not create an unrestricted right to use personal information for a materially different purpose.
8. Sale and targeted advertising
Under our current practices, we do not sell website or waitlist personal information. We also do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as that term is used in privacy law.
We do not use the affiliate or referral program as a way to sell personal information. If our practices change in a way that creates a sale, legally defined sharing, targeted advertising, or another practice needing notice, consent, or an opt-out right, we will put the required notice and control in place before the practice begins.
9. How the website relates to the app
The website and the app serve different functions. This notice continues to cover personal information collected through the website before and after the application launches, including information tied to educational or research articles, application or product updates, the waitlist, referral features, website communications, website analytics, and other ordinary website functions.
When you create or use a span9 application account:
- the span9 Terms of Use and End User License Agreement governs your contractual use of the service;
- the span9 App Privacy Notice governs personal information other than consumer health data that is processed in the application, such as account, sign-in, billing-identifier, device, security-log, and non-health support information;
- the span9 Consumer Health Data Privacy Notice governs consumer health data;
- a separate affirmative health-data consent is required before your first health-data upload, manual health-data entry, or supported wearable connection; and
- separate subscription disclosures and consent apply if you buy a recurring subscription.
This notice does not cover personal information processed inside the span9 application. Joining the waitlist is not consent to collect consumer health data in the future, and agreeing to receive website or launch communications does not allow span9 to collect lab, biomarker, wearable, or similar health information.
10. Founding Member records
For the Founding Member program, we may use the waitlist record to check whether you met the pre-launch registration requirement, and compare a later account-creation record with the waitlist database to check whether the account was activated within the eligibility period. We may keep eligibility records as long as reasonably needed to run the program, document the basis for eligibility, resolve disputes, support protected-pricing administration, and meet legal or recordkeeping duties. The Terms of Use, not this notice, set the benefits and conditions of Founding Member status.
11. How long we keep information
We keep website and waitlist information for periods reasonably tied to the purposes in this notice. Factors include whether you remain on the waitlist or have unsubscribed; whether a record documents consent or communication preferences; whether it supports Founding Member eligibility or referral attribution; whether you later open a span9 account; fraud, security, or dispute-prevention needs; limitation periods; and legal or compliance requirements. We may keep a limited suppression record after you unsubscribe so we can honor your request not to receive future marketing. Consumer health data collected through the application follows the Consumer Health Data Privacy Notice.
12. Privacy rights for U.S. users
We accept privacy requests from U.S. users about personal information covered by this notice. Depending on the law, you may have the right to: confirm whether we process personal information about you; access it and, where applicable, get a portable copy; correct inaccurate information; request deletion; learn the categories, sources, purposes, and recipients; opt out of a sale; opt out of legally defined targeted advertising or sharing; exercise rights over certain sensitive personal information; appeal a decision on a request where applicable; and use other rights under state privacy law. Our current practices do not involve selling website or waitlist personal information or sharing it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Submit requests through: privacy@getspan9.com. We may take reasonable steps to verify your identity before providing access, correcting, or deleting. Where the law lets an authorized agent act for you, we may require appropriate evidence of the agent's authority and verify your identity directly.
Response timing
Our operational baseline is to respond to a verified privacy request within 45 days. If the law requires a shorter period, we will follow it. If the law permits an extension and one is reasonably needed, we may extend as permitted and give any notice the law requires.
Appeals
If the law gives you the right to appeal a decision on a privacy request, you may appeal through: privacy@getspan9.com. Our operational baseline is to decide an applicable appeal within 45 days, unless the law requires a shorter period. If the law requires us to tell you how to contact a state regulator or attorney general after an unsuccessful appeal, we will include that with the decision. We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.
13. State-specific privacy notes
The general rights above are meant to give a simple U.S. privacy-request process. Particular state laws may add qualifications, rights, exceptions, or procedures.
California
Based on current information, we have not determined that the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) applies to us. We still accept the privacy requests described in section 12 from all U.S. users, including California residents. If the CCPA applies to us in the future, we will honor the rights it provides and update this notice. Our current practices do not involve a sale of personal information or sharing it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Connecticut
Where Connecticut privacy law applies, Connecticut residents may have rights about access, correction, deletion, portability, certain sales, targeted advertising, profiling, and appeals. Our current website and waitlist practices do not involve a sale of personal information or targeted advertising based on personal data obtained across nonaffiliated contexts.
Nevada
Nevada law may give rights about information collected through websites and online services, including rights about covered sales. Our current practices do not involve a sale of covered information. Nevada's separate consumer-health-data requirements are addressed in the Consumer Health Data Privacy Notice where consumer health data is involved.
Other states
Residents of other states may have additional rights under laws that apply to us and the specific information or processing. We will honor applicable rights and procedures those laws require. Consumer health data rights are addressed separately in the Consumer Health Data Privacy Notice.
14. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information in light of its nature and the systems used to process it. These may include encryption in transit and at rest where appropriate, access controls, authentication and account-security measures, network and infrastructure protections, vendor restrictions, security monitoring, and measures to detect or respond to unauthorized access or misuse. No website, database, or transmission method can guarantee absolute security.
15. Age requirements
You must be at least 18 to join the waitlist, create a span9 account, or register to use the span9 service. Joining the waitlist or registering may require you to confirm your age. This age rule does not stop someone under 18 from simply viewing public educational website content unless a page or feature says otherwise. If we learn personal information was collected through registration from someone who was not eligible, we will take appropriate steps consistent with the law.
16. Changes to this notice
We may update this notice to reflect changes in the website, educational or research content, the waitlist, referral features, service providers, analytics configuration, legal requirements, or other website practices. The current version shows its effective date. If a change requires consent, an opt-out opportunity, or another specific action under the law, posting a revised notice will not replace that action.
